His Highness Maharaja's University College, Thiruvananthapuram
University College, Thiruvananthapuram was established in 1866 and was
called His Highness The Maharajah's College.

Department of Mathematics was established in 1886. Eminent Professors of
the order of
Prof. P. Hariharan, Prof. S. Parameswaran,
Prof. S. Madhavan and Prof. E. Krishnan have adorned the Department. The
Department has an excellent library comprising more than 7000 books,
some of which are of the rarest kind. There is a well-equipped computer
lab as well.
